DELORS AND HAROLD DOTY

Parents of Roberta A. (Doty) Keeney
Wife of Ralph R. Keeney

Harold W. Doty was born October, 1898 in Plainview, Nebraska. His occupation was sawmill worker, or Millwright. In his younger years, he worked in the woods near Potlatch, Idaho.

He married Delors Catherine Bull on Feb. 24, 1927 in Moscow, Idaho. From this union were born nine children:

1. Willis Harold Doty - B. June 26, 1929
2. Roberta Adellia (Doty) Keeney - B. Oct. 2, 1930
3. Wayne Lemaul Doty - B. Oct. 29, 1931
4. Lila Lee (Doty) Williamson - B. April 2, 1934
5. Cederick R. Doty - B. Sept. 11, 1936
6. Virgil Herman Doty - B. April 13, 1938
7. Juanita C. Doty - B. Feb. 22, 1943 - D. March 26, 1943
8. Cynthia May (Doty) Maxon - B. Nov. 16, 1946
9. Jerry Allen Doty - B. Jan. 9, 1949

In about 1938, Harold moved his family from a farm into Potlatch, Idaho, and went to work in the sawmill there. In 1947, he again moved, this time to Kinzua, Oregon, where he and his oldest son, Willis, were employed in the sawmill. Later, he moved to Fossil, Oregon, and it was here, in 1949, that Roberta met Ralph. A few years after they were married and settled in The Dalles, Oregon, her Father moved one more, this time to Wamic, Oregon to work in the mill there. After a year or so, they moved to Tygh Valley, Oregon, where his two oldest sons were employed in the sawmill.

In 1952, Harold and Dolors were divorced. After this, he went to live in Richmond, Virginia, and died there on Aug. 18, 1967. Dolors is now living in Tygh Valley, Oregon with her son, Wayne.
